The Clogging Desert Stars, a dedicated group of SaddleBrooke ladies, was formed in 1997.
Under the skillful leadership of their Director and Choreographer, Patsy Chase, the group has developed an extensive repertoire, featuring a variety of dance and musical styles. Performance numbers include Western, Irish, Cajun, Scottish, Military and Broadway Show presentations. The Clogging Desert Stars are also noted for their colorful costume changes between numbers.
This energetic group has performed for audiences throughout the state of Arizona as well as in the Tucson, SaddleBrooke and Catalina area. The highlight of their career occurred in 2000 when they were invited to participate in the prestigious Austrian Alps Performing Arts Festival, where they proudly represented Arizona.
The group has also entertained for Arizona Senior World Lovin’ Life Expo in various Arizona and Nevada locations. Twice they have participated in Senior Day at the Arizona State Capitol for the Governor.
Regular appearances for The Desert Stars include Octoberfest at Reid Park, a Veterans’ Day show at the Tucson VA Hospital, the Downtown Tucson Holiday Parade and numerous bookings at nursing homes in the Tucson area. They have also performed at the SaddleBrooke Variety Show every year since 1998 and for various SaddleBrooke clubs and organizations.
