Verde Sputters
| Club Objectives: | Consider becoming a playing or social member in the SaddleBrooke Verde Sputters! This lively group provides women of all skill levels a chance to putt 18 holes while enjoying the sunshine, fresh air and mountain vistas of our beautiful desert setting. In addition to working on your skills, you’ll enjoy luncheons, tournaments and social events throughout the year. Through our activities, we also raise funds for charitable donations to a worthy local organization. Membership is open to any resident or renter who does not belong to a sanctioned golf league (9 or 18 holes). |
| When We Play: | “Sputting” occurs each Monday, except when the course is shut down for maintenance. From May through October, check-in at the main putting green behind the HOA One Clubhouse takes place between 8:30 and 9:00, with putting starting promptly at 9. From November through April, check-in takes place between 9:30 and 10:00, with putting starting promptly at 10. Players will be notified by email early that morning if start times are impacted by poor weather or frost delays. We assign players randomly to teams so everyone has a chance to make new friends. |
| Dues: | Full-year (January through December) dues for playing members are currently $48.00. Social member dues (those wanting to attend luncheons or social events only) are currently $24.00. Dues for playing members who join in February or later will be prorated for the remainder of the calendar year. Short-term renters pay $5 per month. |
| How to Join : | We welcome new members year-round. Membership is limited to 130 women; a waiting list will form if we exceed that. Check us out by simply showing up during any registration time! You’ll join a friendly team, and you can putt once at no charge. Simply bring a putter, golf ball, water and a hat. Normal golf attire applies (collared shirt, pants/skirts/shorts, and soft-soled shoes). A Membership Representative is on hand each week to answer questions, distribute welcome packets, help new members complete registration forms, and collect dues (cash or check). |
| Annual Events: | The Verde Sputters host or participate in several special events each year. This includes putting tournaments with the Ranchettes Lady Putters, the MountainView Lady Putters, and the SaddleBrooke One Lady Niners. Crazy Putting Days and Summer Fun Nights encourage camaraderie. And members can take part in eight luncheons/brunches (each with a business meeting) throughout the year. |
| Info For Members: | A Verde Sputters directory (including name, address, phone, email and birthday) is emailed to active members on a quarterly basis. This directory is for personal use of members only; it may not be shared with other organizations or non-profits.
